Danske Bank - supporting personal customers

Danske Bank has today outlined a range of measures available to help consumers and households impacted financially by the coronavirus crisis.

Richard Caldwell, Managing Director of Personal Banking & Small Business at Danske Bank said:

“This is a challenging and uncertain time for everyone. For customers, worries about health, isolation and their children’s education, are compounded by worries about how the current situation will affect them financially. Our message to customers is that we’re here to help. If you are facing financial hardship because of coronavirus, please contact us. We welcome such conversations and will do all we can to support you.”

The options available, depending on individual circumstances, include:

Mortgage holders

• payment holidays of up to three months
• interest only repayments

Personal Loans

• payment holidays of up to three months
• restructuring to a longer loan term to bring down monthly payments

Credit cards

• increases to credit card limits, refund of late payment fees and debt restructuring

Overdrafts

• streamlining of the application process so customers can get funds faster
• restructuring repayment plans for existing overdrafts

The three month mortgage break option extends to personal customers who are residential buy-to-let landlords.
