Danske Bank has reopened its flagship branch at Donegall Square West in Belfast city centre following the completion of a major refurbishment project.
The branch has been redesigned, with a new look, a new layout and improved services that Danske Bank believes will better meet the needs and expectations of personal and business customers.
Danske Bank has invested in the latest self-service technology, enabling customers to do straightforward banking transactions quickly and easily, with staff on hand to help when they need it or to meet them to discuss their wider banking needs.
The branch team, which includes multi-skilled Personal Bankers, Customer Service Advisers, Mortgage Consultants and Small Business Advisers, will ensure that customers experience a warm and welcoming environment and any guidance they need when visiting the branch.
Aisling Press, Head of Branch Banking at Danske Bank, said: “Today’s consumers and businesses have so many different choices available to them in terms of how they do their banking. While changing consumer behaviours have driven increased investment in digital banking options for our customers, branches remain an important part of our customer offering. That’s why over the past year, we have invested in the refurbishment of a number of our regional branches, and now our flagship branch.
“We want to make banking easy, accessible and straightforward for consumers and businesses. The new branch has therefore been designed with the customer experience front and centre, taking on board all the positive feedback from the previous refurbishments and adding some exciting new features.
“This branch really has the wow factor. It looks very different to the traditional bank branch and is much more welcoming.
“We have also deliberately included plenty of open space for talking to customers or holding events, which will enable us to open the space up for the benefit of the local community.”
Danske Bank also announced today that it has appointed Mandy Mooney to the new role of Belfast City Manager. As Belfast City Manager, Mandy will lead the teams in pursuit of customer experience excellence and enabling customers to bank in the way that best suits them. Mandy will also focus on opening up the space for the benefit of the local community and building networks with schools, partners, business organisations and other key stakeholders.
Danske Bank has also named John Mulhern as the new Branch Manager at its flagship branch at Donegall Square West.
John Mulhern said: “I would like to thank our customers for their patience during the refurbishment works over the summer. The whole team is proud to welcome customers to our new branch, which not only looks fantastic but more importantly, has a great team of friendly, skilled staff who make a real difference to the overall customer experience.
“Whether customers are buying a home, trying to save for their children’s future or seeking to grow their business, I invite them to come in and experience the new branch for themselves.”
