Energy Saving Trust is an independent organisation – working to address the climate emergency. They do this by helping millions of householders every year to make better energy choices and helping business to play their part in building a sustainable future.
The Energy Saving Trust Tool
The Energy Saving Trust Tool is a quick and straightforward way to find out how energy efficient your home is and how making a few changes now could save you money and reduce your emissions, which could help the environment in the long term.
All you need to do is answer a few questions about the type of home that you have and the tool will produce a personalised report and action plan to improve the energy efficiency of your home. The report includes estimates of:
- your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating
- your energy costs
- your home’s CO2 emissions
The action plan will suggest ways to make your home more energy efficient and estimate how much these would cost to do, as well as how much making these changes could save you in the long run. And of course making these changes can benefit the environment.
Why make your home more energy-efficient?
It’s estimated that in 2020 the residential sector contributed 21% of all CO2 emissions in the UK, which tells us we can all play a part in slowing down the effects of climate change.
Home Energy Check is powered by Energy Saving Trust and as such any figures / estimates quoted are provided by Energy Saving Trust.
