Mortgage Charter

Do you have an up-to-date Energy Performance Certificate?

If your property has an energy efficiency rating of A-C you can get access to exclusive existing customer rates. You’ll find a home’s energy efficiency rating on its Energy Performance Certificate (or EPC), if it has one.

To be eligible, the EPC must be valid for at least another year at the date of your mortgage application.

If we hold a valid energy efficiency rating of A-C for your property you don’t need to do anything.

If we don’t hold a record of your properties EPC rating or the rating is D or below you can still avail of our standard existing customer rates.

Renew online

You can renew online if all the following points apply to you:

  • You currently have a fixed rate mortgage which is due to end in the next 150 days OR your fixed rate mortgage has already ended.
  • You have a Tracker Home Loan, Standard Variable Rate or Follow-on Rate Home Loan.
  • You do not want to change the amount or term of your existing mortgage.
  • The mortgage is not for an investment property.
  • You want to renew using our online execution only service, which means you don’t want us to provide advice.
  • The balance of your mortgage is £10,000 or more and the remaining term is 12 months or more.
  • Your remaining mortgage is 95% of the property value or less.
  • Your property is in the UK.
  • You are making monthly repayments on a capital and interest basis.
  • All payments are up to date and you are not currently making payments that are less than those detailed in your original mortgage agreement.

What you’ll need to access our online service:

  • Mortgage account number (which you can find on eBanking or on your mortgage statement)
  • Property postcode
  • Surname
  • Date of birth
  • A valid email address
  • We’ll send a unique PIN code to the mobile number we hold for you each time you log in. If we do not hold a valid mobile number, we will tell you when you try to log in. You can call us on 0800 389 0833 and we will update our records. Mon-Fri: 8am-6pm / Sat: 9am-1pm / Sun: Closed.

Important Information

  • We will provide a ‘Product Transfer Offer letter’ when you select a new product. Please read this carefully before you make a decision.
  • Any initial monthly repayment figures illustrated online may be subject to change, and will be confirmed within the Product Transfer Offer letter.
  • You must accept the ‘Product Transfer Offer letter’ before we will make the change to your mortgage.
