This landmark investment reflects a strong commitment from the Bank to create a more modern, sustainable and future-ready working environment. The planned works will include improvements to the building’s energy performance, alongside refreshed meeting spaces, improved technology and a more agile workplace experience.

The investment is about more than the building itself. It is an opportunity to bring additional colleagues together in one location and create a more connected and future ready workplace.

It is within this context that the Bank has decided not to renew its lease at Killeaton House, its long-time Customer Contact and Operations Centre in Dunmurry. Staff currently based there are expected to move to the city centre head office towards the end of 2027.

This decision was further supported by the fact that the head office will soon have substantially more space, with the third floor becoming available when tenant Grant Thornton vacates early next year.

Danske Bank CEO Julie-Ann Haines, said:

“I’m delighted that we are making this important investment. It is a fantastic opportunity to bring more colleagues together in a modern, connected and flexible space that supports how we work today and how we will continue to evolve in the future.

“Creating a shared home in the city centre will help strengthen collaboration, teamwork and a one bank culture, supporting better outcomes for our customers and colleagues. We are better together, where possible.

“Over recent years, we have invested significantly in refurbishing many of our branches. It is now right that we turn our focus to investing in our head office environment, for the benefit of colleagues based there today and those currently based at Killeaton House, who will in time become part of a more modern, future-ready and connected base for our business.

“This is an important and exciting investment in our people, our culture and our future.”
