Hosted by the Danske Gender Diversity Network, the event focused on this year’s theme ‘Give to Gain’, highlighting the importance of collaboration, support and empowerment in advancing gender equality.

Following breakfast and networking, attendees were welcomed by Danske Bank CEO Vicky Davies, who shared her personal reflections on the transformative impact of mentoring and the role it has played in shaping her career.

A highlight of the morning was the keynote conversation with renowned local broadcaster, Pamela Ballantine. Pamela shared insights from her extraordinary career, spanning over four decades, discussing the importance of empowering others and fostering growth through support and collaboration.

Attendees also enjoyed a panel discussion featuring senior leaders from Danske Bank, including Dresden Hurst, Head of Personal Customer Growth and Chair of the Danske Gender Diversity Network and Fiona Browne, Head of AI. Alongside Corporate Banking Manager Claire McKeown, the panel explored how individuals and organisations can contribute to demonstrating true allyship and advancing women’s development and equality in workplaces and communities.

In the leadup to the event, Danske Bank had hosted over 65 mentees from the SistersIN leadership programme for a Work Shadow Day in the bank’s headquarters. The day provided mentees the opportunity to meet their mentors, gain insights into the professional world and learn more about the diverse roles and opportunities available within the bank. Danske Bank is a founding member of the SistersIN programme, which embodies the true spirit of ‘Give to Gain’ – championing investing in the next generation of young women and mentoring with female leaders can have a powerful impact.

The ‘Give to Gain’ campaign shines a spotlight on the value of sharing knowledge, resources, mentorship and advocacy to create a more inclusive and supportive environment.

Danske Bank is proud to support International Women’s Day and remains committed to fostering initiatives that celebrate women’s achievements and drive progress toward a more equitable future.
