The Bank has a travel insurance policy with American International Group UK Limited (AIG). This policy covers losses suffered by the Principal Cardholder and certain family members (subject to eligibility) of the Principal Cardholder.

Following a review of their product range, AIG has decided to end this policy and no longer provide this type of cover to the Bank. It isn’t anything to do with you or your circumstances.

Your cover will end at midnight on 31 March 2024. This will happen automatically, so you don’t need to do anything.

You or anyone else covered by this policy will no longer be able to make a claim under the policy for any journey on or after 1 April 2024.

If your journey covered by your Travel Insurance benefits starts on or before 31 March 2024 and continues beyond this date you’re covered for your trip up to 60 days maximum, or 30 days for children travelling alone.

If your journey starts on or after 1 April 2024 you will not have any cover and you will need to find alternative travel insurance for your journey.

For journeys that are booked before 1 April 2024, starting on or after 1 April 2024, there will be cancellation cover if the reason for the cancellation arises prior to 1 April 2024.

On or after 1 April 2024 there will be no cancellation cover and you will need to make alternative arrangements.

This isn’t affected by the changes being made. AIG will look after it as normal.

It’s important that you advise any family members who may be covered by this policy that it is no longer valid, and they will need to make alternative arrangements for travel insurance.
