Welcome to the Customer Protection Centre upload portal


Depending on whether we've asked you for details about your identity, address, tax or general business, we'll need different documents. You can see full details below.

  • Upload one of these documents:

    • Valid Passport
    • Valid Full UK/ROI Photo-Card Driving Licence
    • Valid UK/ROI Photo-Card Provisional Driving Licence
    • Valid Full EU Photo-Card Driving Licence
    • Valid Full old style UK Driving Licence
    • Valid EU/EEA Member State National Identity Card
    • Valid Electoral Identity Card for Northern Ireland
    • Valid DRD/Translink Smartpass (Half Fare, 60+ or Senior)
    • Blue Parking Card for people with disabilities
    • Valid Public Services Card Ireland
    • Valid Firearms or Shotgun Certificate issued by a UK Police Force
    • Evidence of entitlement to state benefit
    • Evidence of entitlement to state pension or pension credit
    • HM Revenue & Customs tax notifications/tax documentation
    • If self-employed in the Construction Industry, a Tax Exemption Card under the HMRC Construction Industry Scheme, incorporating a photograph of the holder
    • Armed Forces ID Card
    • Police Warrant Card
    • HM Revenue & Customs ID Card
    • Biometric Residence Permit issued by the Home Office

  • Please note: A document can only be accepted for proof of address verification if it has not already been accepted as proof of identity.


    Upload one of these documents:

    • Utility bill or documentation from a utility provider confirming that an account is held or a utility is being supplied
    • Land & Property Services Bill/Notice
    • Valid Full UK Photo-Card Driving Licence
    • Valid UK Photo-Card Provisional Driving Licence
    • Valid Full old style UK Driving Licence
    • Valid EU/EEA Member State National Identity Card that contains an address
    • Evidence of entitlement to state benefit
    • Evidence of entitlement to state pension or pension credit
    • Documentation from a regulated financial sector firm indicating that a relationship exists and which contains the persons address
    • Documentation from The Electoral Office for Northern Ireland confirming registration on the electoral register
    • A Solicitor's letter confirming recent house purchase or land registry confirmation
    • Current Rent Book/Card or tenancy agreement issued by Northern Ireland Housing Executive or a recognised Housing Association OR recent documentary evidence that rent is being paid directly to NIHE/Housing Association
    • Valid Household/Motor Insurance certificate, schedule or confirmation of renewal of insurance
    • HM Revenue & Customs tax notifications/tax documentation
    • Vehicle Registration Document
    • Valid TV Licence or confirmation from TV Licencing that a TV Licence is being paid for on a payment plan (e.g. via Direct Debit)
    • Valid Firearms or Shotgun Certificate issued by a UK Police Force, that contains the persons address
    • Letter of Offer or Acceptance, from the applicant's University or College
    • UCAS documentation confirming offer at University or College
    • Student accommodation contract or tenancy agreement issued by the applicant's University or College
    • Documentation from Student Finance NI / Student Loans Company in relation to student finance being granted for the current academic year

  • Upload this document:

    • Most recent HMRC Tax Return form (SA100)

  • Upload one of these documents:

    • Financial accounts
    • Structure Charts
    • Further information on specific transactions
    • Rules or Constitutions for non-profit organisations
    • Trust deeds or subsequent amendments for Trusts/ Pension schemes

Before starting your upload process, you should ensure you have already saved your documents on your device and know where they are saved. You will need to locate them when using this service.

Once you have done that, please input the personal information requested and follow the instructions underneath this to successfully upload your documents.

Hints and tips for uploading

Files should be in one of the following formats:

For documents:
  • docx, doc, text, txt, xlsx, xls, pdf
For pictures:
  • jpeg, jpg, png, gif

Files shouldn't be more than 4MB in size and the file name shouldn't exceed 24 characters, including spaces.

You can search for your saved documents on your device by using the 'Browse' button below - you can upload one document at a time (this may take a few seconds). The name you have saved your document under will be the reference we see when you upload it. Once you're happy that you've attached the documents you want to upload please click 'Send'.
