No, if you already have a Danske current account, unfortunately you are not eligible to avail of this offer.
No, if you had a Danske current account on 25th August 2025, you are not eligible for this offer even if you close your account and open a new one.
In addition, if you have received an account opening offer from us before, you will not be eligible for this offer, even if you have since closed your account.
Yes, if you don’t have a Danske current account, you are eligible for this offer.
No, joint accounts will only be eligible for one payment.
No, only one of the account holders needs to do this in order to meet the criteria.
Yes, you must complete a full switch using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) to switch your old account to us. This means transferring any Direct Debits or other regular payments, and any automated credits to your new Danske Bank account. Your old bank account will be closed once the switch is complete.
No, you can either transfer in active direct debits when you switch in your old account or set up new direct debits. As long as you have 2 active direct debits within 60 days of your new account opening it doesn’t matter if they are new or transferred in.
Any standing orders you have do not count.
Yes, the £1,000 can be paid into your new account in chunks, you do not have to do it all at once. Any balance that switches across with your old account also will count towards the £1,000.
Yes, you can register for Prize Draw as soon as you apply for your new account. Once your account is open and you have registered, you will be included each month you meet the Prize Draw entry criteria of 11 debit card transactions. Read more about Prize Draw.
The switching offer ended on 10 October 2025. All applications received up to and including this date will still qualify, providing the full criteria is met.
