There is no specific limit on the value of online payments you can make in any one day using your Danske Debit Mastercard, unless you have specifically requested a spending limit on your debit card.

For debit cards, you must have sufficient funds including any arranged overdraft in your account to cover the payment(s). If you requested a spending limit on your debit card but wish to have it removed, contact our Customer Support team on 028 9004 6622.

For credit cards, any payments made will need to be within the limit of the remaining balance available on your card.

If you do not have sufficient cleared funds available when the payment is being processed, your payment will be rejected.

Yes, you can reduce the maximum amount you wish to transfer online using either our Mobile Bank app or eBanking.

You can choose to reduce the maximum amount you wish to transfer in a single payment and/or in a single day. Amendments to your transfer limits will apply instantly and to both online channels.

To reduce your transfer limits via our Mobile Bank app, simply tap the 3 dots on your main menu, and then select Payment Limits.

On eBanking you can reduce your transfer limits by selecting Account Terms and Settings to change your limits there.

Different business days apply depending upon the payment system that is used to make the payment. If you make a one off payment via eBanking or the Mobile Bank app this would be considered a ‘Faster Payment’ and payments can still leave and be received into your account on a Saturday or Sunday.

If you’re making a regular payment by standing order, these payments would only leave, or be received into, your account during Monday – Friday. Learn more about standing orders.
