Meet our teams
The Commercial development team incorporates 5 core areas, which together are responsible for implementing initiatives designed to support delivery of the objectives outlined in our Corporate Plan. The areas are (1) Product Management incorporating Business, Savings, Personal Current Accounts, Consumer Finance, Home Loans and Government Support Schemes, (2) Pricing & Risk, (3) Communications, (4) Change Management and (5) Conduct & Customer Experience.
The overall vision of the team is to increase commercial focus by managing and delivering key changes to support customers and Danske Bank.
Operations comprises of 6 different business areas.
Customer Service Delivery teams are located at our Killeaton site with their focus purely on customer support and resolution.
The Financial Crime Prevention team is responsible for the regulatory due diligence for our entire customer base including fraud detection and management.
The Operation Excellence team support and drive operations management through continuous improvement, resource management and tracking the Operations digital agenda.
Transaction Banking is responsible for our channel solutions such as ATMs and card support alongside our payment solutions and specialist business teams.
Our Properties & Procurement Teams manage the end to end procurement processes, health, safety & security for our colleagues and office accesses alongside estate management.
Personal Banking is our largest business unit and includes our branch network along with our multi- award-winning contact centre, Customer Direct. Private Banking is an important part of Personal Banking that caters for our high-net-worth clients’ everyday banking and borrowing needs. With our Home buying Teams looking after all our customers’ mortgage needs.
The Corporate & Business Banking teams provide a wide range of financial solutions and services to the Businesses and Corporate market in Northern Ireland.
This business unit consists of Relationship Managers who engage in the acquisition of new customer relationships and are responsible for managing portfolios of business customers, both specialist and small businesses and agri-business, as well as corporate customers.
The Sustainability Team also sits within this business unit, and they play a key role in progressing the Bank’s sustainability strategy by delivering of a range of sustainability initiatives.
Our Technology & Digital Development function was set up in 2021 and encompasses four different teams, namely Digital Development, Data & Analytics, Customer Journeys and IT and Information Security.
The strategy for the T&DD teams is to digitise and simplify for both colleagues and customers. The teams are made up of Software Engineers, Data Analysts, API Developers with a focus on embracing new technologies, drive automation and data analytics.
We have several departments that fall under the remit of Head Office Functions, namely Risk, HR, Internal Audit, Legal & Finance. These teams play a pivotal role in keeping the bank safe.
The Risk teams are responsible for monitoring and reviewing internal and external data to ensure effective management of operational risk across the bank.They are also responsible for ensuring compliance is adhered, codes of conduct are followed and develop policies to support our colleagues.
Our Internal Audit team manage and deliver an audit service for key risks within the Bank, including the planning and delivery of a programme of audits, monitoring and implementation of Audit issues.
The Finance team conducts statutory and regulatory reporting for the Bank as well as developing financial plans for each of the business units.
The Legal team engages with various business units to provide advice and guidance on a range of legal and regulatory matters.
Finally, our HR teams provide resourcing and onboarding support, manage colleague payroll, provide HR advice and guidance, develop colleague careers through various learning and development initiatives and talent management as well as providing HR support by way of Business Partnering.
A key strategy for Danske Bank is to be a challenger in the rest of the UK and we will achieve this through the excellent work carried out by our GB & Corporate Strategy teams. The teams are responsible for developing and sustaining our high profile in the GB market with prospective clients, advisory firms & syndication teams, with a purpose of acquiring and managing new profitable customers from the FTSE and AIM listed market.
Our clients are some of the UK’s largest Corporate businesses and our teams work with experienced corporate banking originators, portfolio coverage, credit, syndication and legal teams to provide attractive funding propositions to both new to bank and existing customers.
