We’re supporting Ukrainian refugees who have come to Northern Ireland and need access to a bank account. You can apply online or visit your local branch to apply for a Danske Standard account.

You can apply if you:

• are aged 18 or over and are a resident in Northern Ireland at the time of opening
• have a Ukrainian Passport or UK Residency Permit card
• are able to provide a valid email address
• are able to provide a valid mobile phone number

We will refund the fee for sending a payment from a Danske Bank account to Ukraine. This will hopefully help those who have family or friends in Ukraine and want to send them financial aid directly.

You can transfer money abroad in any of our branches or through eBanking.

The video guide below shows how you can do this using eBanking. You’ll need to know the payee’s International Bank Account Number (IBAN) before doing this.

We’re supporting the Homes for Ukraine (Homes for Ukraine: record your interest - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)) government scheme, which allows you to volunteer accommodation to a Ukrainian national or the immediate family member of a Ukrainian national who was resident in Ukraine before 1 January 2022.

If you have a Danske Bank mortgage, you don’t need to tell us if you’re participating in the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

You will need to continue making your normal mortgage repayments while part of the Homes for Ukraine scheme. You should also carefully consider taking part in the scheme, if you’re already struggling to make your mortgage payments or in arrears.
