Responsible business at Danske Bank

At Danske Bank we have a clear purpose - to help customers, colleagues and society thrive.

That means helping businesses achieve their growth ambitions, helping people buy or move home, creating a great place to work, giving back to the local communities in which we live and work, and helping to build a more sustainable future.

Building financial confidence in the next generation

Our financial education programme, Money Smart, is delivered in classrooms by Danske Bank colleagues.

The sessions include interactive, age-appropriate content that educates children and young people about money and personal finance, with content suiting pupils aged 5-18.

Topics range from understanding needs vs wants, to gaming and gambling, and becoming financially independent.

If you’re a teacher and would like to find out more, or give us feedback, you can email us at communications@danskebank.co.uk

Volunteering our time and skills

Our Danske Time to Give volunteering programme lets Danske Bank colleagues spend a day volunteering during working hours. They can use their time to deliver Money Smart sessions or can volunteer with different organisations - like local food banks, Young Enterprise and the Woodland Trust, among many others.

If your charity or community organisation needs volunteers, we would love to hear from you – email us at volunteering@danskebank.co.uk.

Employees Charity Group

Employees’ Charity Group

Our Employees' Charity Group members – both current and retired employees – pay into a monthly fund through a Give as You Earn scheme. All the money raised goes directly to local charitable causes.

Since forming in 1991, the Employees’ Charity Group has donated over £1.24 million to small local charities, helping make a real difference to communities across Northern Ireland.

For more information on how to apply to the fund email us at employee_charity_group@danskebank.co.uk

Youth sports

Supporting youth sports

We’re proud to put our name to the game and support youth sport all across Northern Ireland.

We work with Ulster Schools’ GAA, Ulster Schools’ Rugby and the Northern Ireland Schools’ Football Association. Over the years, we’ve seen the competitions grow, with more opportunities for boys and girls to get involved and thrive through sport.
