Eligibility Criteria
To open a Danske Community Account, one of your officers must already be an existing Danske Bank personal or business customer. You must be an unincorporated club, society, or association operating primarily for a community benefit purpose such as:
the prevention or relief of poverty;
the advancement of education*;
the advancement of religion;
the advancement of health or the saving of lives;
the advancement of citizenship or community development;
the advancement of the arts, culture, heritage or science;
the advancement of amateur sport;
the advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation or the promotion of religious or racial harmony or equality and diversity;
the advancement of environmental protection or improvement;
the relief of those in need because of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage;
the advancement of animal welfare;
the promotion of the efficiency the police, fire and rescue services, ambulance services or the armed forces; or
any other purposes that the Bank may regard as analogous to, or within the spirit of, any purposes listed above.

Day 1
The Current Account Switch Service will check if the switch can go ahead.
Day 3–5 Your regular payments will be moved across to your new Danske Bank business current account.
Day 7
Your balance will be moved to your new Danske Bank business current account, and your old business current account will be closed. We’ll let you know that the switch is complete.
If we are not able to complete the switch on your chosen date, we will contact you to agree a new one.

No, you don’t need to open a Business Current Account to apply for a Business Loan or Business Fixed Term Deposit with Danske Bank. Depending on your business requirements, you will have the option of opening a Business Current Account or a Business Servicing Account.
No, this application is solely for the purpose of opening a Business Current Account. If you wish to discuss lending with us after your Business Current Account is open, please call us on: 0345 850 9515.
If a transaction isn’t carried out within 90 days from the date the account is opened, the account agreement with us will end and the account will be closed.
No, your Business Current Account is not a personal account and cannot be used as such. It can only be used by business customers who are running a business.
Yes, you can have multiple business current accounts, and some businesses find having multiple accounts an easier way to manage their finances. The fees and charges for these will vary depending on what Business Current Account you choose.
If you have surplus cash in your Business Current Account, we can help it work harder for you. Our Business Investment Account is an instant access, interest-earning account. If you’re happy to put surplus cash away for longer, we have a Business Fixed Term Deposit account that may offer you a higher rate of interest.
