Mastercard Business Debit Card

A Mastercard Business Debit card is the debit card that is available with Danske Bank business current accounts. You can use your Mastercard Business Debit card to pay for purchases in shops or online. You can also use it to take out cash at cash machines in the UK and abroad. The money for these transactions will be taken from your current account.

With your Mastercard Business Debit, you can withdraw your money from cash machines both in the UK and abroad, make purchases at Point of Sale (POS) terminals and shop online.

All cardholders need to activate their new card before it can be used. We include instructions with the card on how to do this.

Yes when paying for purchases through a POS terminal that offers a cashback facility. The maximum amount of cashback offered is set by the retailer. Please note that some retailers do not offer cashback.

With your new Mastercard Business Debit card you still need to tell us as soon as you become aware that your card has been lost or stolen. If your card is lost or stolen, or someone else knows your PIN, phone us as soon as possible on our 24 hour emergency line 0800 0324661. From outside the UK call +44 800 0324661.

Calls may be recorded.

If your card has been stolen or you believe your PIN has been compromised then you will need a new pin. Otherwise, the PIN for your new card will be the same as the PIN for your existing card.

There is a daily cash withdrawal limit on the card, and this is set out in the Business Customers Payment Table. However, you can ask us to change the daily cash withdrawal limit. Please ask your Branch or Account Manager for details. The minimum withdrawal amount depends on the cash machine provider.

This can be amended by the Card Administrator on District or you can ask us to do this for you.

Yes – you can request a Mastercard Business Deposit only card. This card only allows the cardholder to deposit cash or cheques into their account using the branch or Post Office®. The card doesn’t come with a PIN and you can’t take out cash, make purchases in shops or online. Contact your local Branch or Business Centre for further details.
