Which types of Charitable Entities are you able to offer accounts to? |
Charity Account: You must be registered as a charity with HM Revenue & Customs and/or The Charity Commission for England and Wales and/or The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and/or the Charity Commission of Northern Ireland (where applicable). One of your officers must already be an existing Danske Bank personal or business customer. Community Account: An unincorporated club, society or association operating primarily for a community benefit purpose as detailed on our website and one of your officers must already be an existing Danske Bank personal or business customer. |
What branch-based services are offered? | Customers can use the branch for cash and cheque deposits, although we encourage our customers to use online services where possible as it is more efficient for them. |
If branch-based services differ on a regional basis, do you have a postcode search function that clients can use? | Our branch-based services don't differ on a regional basis. |
Do you offer any services through the Post Office or Banking Hubs? |
Yes, you can use Post Offices for basic services like making deposits, balance enquiries and withdrawing cash. We are also part of the Banking Hub network. These are shared spaces where customers can avail of Post Office counter banking services for their current account such as obtaining a balance, depositing cash and cheques and withdrawing money throughout the week. These services have maximum deposit and withdrawal limits, details can be located on our Post Office page. A Danske Bank Community Banker is available to speak to on a weekly basis for more complex queries. |

How do you add someone to the mandate / manage signatories? |
Having the right individuals on the mandate is critical for a charity to bank effectively. New/additional mandate holders can be added using our District online banking platform or you can contact us directly for support on 0345 850 9515. |
How do you add someone to online banking? | If you are the administrator, you can create new users on District. If not, you can contact us directly for support on 0345 850 9515. |
Do these accounts offer credit interest or is a savings account required? | A separate savings account is required for interest bearing accounts. More information can be found on our Business Investment Account page or our Fixed Term Deposit page. |
