Dr Ken Macdonald
Head of ICO Regions, Information Commissioner’s Office
Prior to joining the ICO in 2005, Ken spent some 25 years working in the field of economics and related sectors as a higher education lecturer, an economic development consultant and latterly as a local government officer where his role included the management of a consortium of 14 local authorities engaged in European funding programmes. He has also held a number of directorships within the third sector. He has an MA with Honours in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and a PhD from the University of Aberdeen.
Ken was initially appointed to the ICO as Assistant Commissioner for Scotland and his remit was extended to include Northern Ireland in 2010. Following the retiral of the Assistant Commissioner (Wales) in July 2016, he assumed responsibility for the ICO office in Cardiff as Head of ICO Regions. His main role is to represent the Commissioner in these areas and to promote information rights across all sectors by raising awareness of organisational responsibilities as well as influencing policy developments by working closely with public authorities.

Fedelma Good
Director, Data Protection Practice, PwC
Fedelma is a Director in PwC’s multi-disciplinary data protection practice in London where she is responsible for developing the firm’s ‘MyDPO’ proposition, a range of products and services designed to support data protection officers to fulfil their role as defined under the GDPR.
Fedelma joined PwC in November 2017 from Barclays UK, where she was Director of Information Strategy and Governance. Fedelma has expertise and experience in a unique combination of technology, marketing, regulation and information/data management issues. She has chaired and contributed to a number of industry working groups including those relating to open banking (she co-chaired the governance workstream), cookies and the development of best practice guidelines for the use of data for marketing purposes.
She is a Licentiate of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland, an Industry Commissioner on the board of the Direct Marketing Commission, an honorary fellow of the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) and is enrolled on the UK DMA’s (Direct Marketing Association) Roll of Honour. In the 2016 Data IQ Awards she was named Client Data Professional of the year and her team won the Grand Prix award. Most recently she has been listed as an Enabler on the DataIQ 100 2018 (a listing which profiles the most influential people in data-driven business). She is a frequent presenter at data protection, privacy and information management conferences across Europe.
