If you have a Danske Bank Tracker Home Loan or Standard Variable Rate mortgage, you can make a lump sum overpayment at any Danske Bank branch, via eBanking using the transfer facility to send funds directly into your mortgage account or by calling 0800 032 5501.

  • Are Danske Bank signed up to the Mortgage Charter?

Yes, we have signed up to the UK Government’s Mortgage Charter and also remain focused on supporting customers above and beyond the Charter.

    The Charter pledges that:

    • Anyone worried about their mortgage repayments can contact their lender for help, without an impact on their credit file.
    • Customers can switch to a new mortgage deal at the end of their existing fixed rate deal without an affordability check.
    • Lenders will provide well-timed information to help customers plan ahead should their current rate be due to end.
    • Lenders will offer tailored support for anyone struggling, such as extending their term with the option to revert to their original term within 6 months or offering a switch to interest only payments for 6 months.
    • A borrower will not be forced to leave their home, unless in exceptional circumstances, in less than a year from their first missed payment.
    • Customers approaching the end of a fixed rate deal will have the chance to lock in a deal up to six months ahead. They will also be able to manage their new deal and request a better like for like deal with their lender right up until their new term starts, if one is available.
    • These options can be taken by customers who are up to date with their payments without a new affordability check or affecting their credit score. We’ll continue to work with customers who are in arrears and offer support where available.
