Danske Discovery Current Account - Application Form

We will process the application and in a couple of days the account is ready to use!

Step One - Parent or Guardian details..

 Your mobile number should consist of 11 digits
 Your sort code consists of 6 digits starting with 95XXXX
 Your account number consists of 8 digits

  We need you to give us your email address and mobile number so that we can contact you about the opening and operation of this account.

 To be eligible to apply for this account, confirmation is required that the child lives in Northern Ireland

Debit Mastercard

The child will get a Debit Mastercard that they can use to withdraw up to £350 at any cash machine. This limit can be changed at any time by contacting us.

You can also set the child's card up so that it can be used in shops, online or over the phone. The daily spending limit will be set at £100 and the limit can be changed at any time by contacting us. Contactless payments of up to £45 can be made wherever the contactless symbol is displayed


eBanking

eBanking helps the child bank online securely, anytime, anywhere and also allows them to use the Danske Mobile Bank app if they're 13 or older.

If you want to register the child for eBanking, we'll send them their User ID and other details they need to log on.

eBanking allows the child to:

  • check the balance of their account
  • make payments out of their account
  • receive their statements and other documents digitally

The child will also be able to use their eBanking log on details to access their account using the services of Third Party Providers (TPPs). You can read more about TPPs in the 'General Terms and Conditions - Personal' at Clauses 5.5.9 and 8. You can also find more information about TPPs on our Open Banking page.

When the child first logs on, they will be asked to accept the Terms and Conditions for eBanking. You may wish to help them with this.


Statements

As you've chosen to register the child for eBanking, we'll send their statements and other documents digitally to their Electronic Mailbox.

Going paperless means the child won't have to wait for their documents to arrive by post each month, and they'll always be available for them to view, print or download.

We need the child's email address to set their Electronic Mailbox up as we'll send them a notification when their latest statement is ready to view.

If you answer 'no' then we will send all statements for this account on paper.

Statements

As you've not chosen to register the child for eBanking, their statements and other documents will be sent to them on paper.

Going paperless means the child won't have to wait for their documents to arrive by post each month, and they'll always be available for them to view, print or download.

If you would like the child to receive their statements and other documents digitally, please register the child for eBanking in the ‘eBanking' section above.

You must confirm that you want the child to receive all statements for this account on paper
