Incentives for First Time Buyers, Home Movers and Mortgages Switching to Us

 

Cashback Incentive

If the customer borrows £75,000 or more and takes a 5 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage, we'll give them £1,500 Cashback.

If the customer borrows £75,000 or more and takes a Base Rate Tracker, a 2 Year Fixed Rate or 3 Year Fixed Rate Mortgage we’ll give them £1,200 Cashback.

If the customer borrows between £30,000 and £74,999 we'll give them £250 Cashback.

Offer may be amended or withdrawn at any time.

Available to First Time Buyers and Home Movers. Cashback is only payable on completion of the mortgage. Terms and conditions apply.

 

Remortgage Offer

If the customer is remortgaging to us and not moving house, they could avail of:

  1. Free standard legal fees by a solicitor of our choice (any additional costs will be covered by your customer)
  2. A free valuation up to the value of £600
  3. £250 Cashback on Base Rate Trackers and 2, 3 or 5 Year Fixed Rate Mortgages. (payable on completion of the mortgage) between £30,000 and £74,999
  4. £400 Cashback on Base Rate Trackers and 2 or 3 Year Fixed Rate Mortgages (payable on completion of the mortgage) of £75,000 and over
  5. £550 Cashback on 5 Year Fixed Rate Mortgages. (payable on completion of the mortgage) of £75,000 and over
  6. Reduced rates on our standard Fixed Rates

This offer is also available with our standard Base Rate Tracker products.

In order to avail of this offer, the application must meet the following criteria:

  • The loan is a residential home loan of an amount of £30,000 or more
  • The loan is currently with another financial provider and the customer is remortgaging to us and not moving house

This offer may be withdrawn at any time. Terms and conditions and valuation fee clawback apply.

Representative example

A mortgage of £102,000 payable over 20 years initially on a fixed rate for 5 years at 1.79% and then on Danske Follow-on Rate at 3.20% above Danske Bank Base Rate (UK) of 0.75% variable for the remaining 15 years would require 63 monthly payments of £505.87 and 177 monthly payments of £586.36.

The total amount payable would be £135,655.15, made up of the loan amount plus interest (£33,655.15). A product fee (£0), valuation fee (£0) and mortgage exit fees (£125) are also payable.

The overall cost for comparison is 2.9% APRC representative.

For all applicants who are not existing Danske Bank customers we will require a servicing account to be opened with us in the names of all applicants to the mortgage.

If the customers mortgage was effected before the 26th June 2018, at the end of the Fixed Rate period it will automatically move to our Standard Variable Rate, as outlined in their mortgage offer.

Fixed Rate Mortgages

Customers can make a lump sum overpayment during the Fixed Rate Period without incurring an Early Repayment Charge provided the overpayment:

  • Is a maximum of 10% of the outstanding balance of your loan;
  • Is made by way of a one off lump sum overpayment; and
  • Is made once during any calendar year being the period from 1 January to 31 December

In all other cases, the Early Repayment Charge referred to in the “Early Repayment” section of the mortgage illustration will apply to any additional lump sum overpayment.

When they come to sell their home they will need to use the sale's proceeds to repay their outstanding mortgage balance.
