​Text us to get the balance on your account in an instant for free*.  Access real time information on your accounts through Danske Text Service at home or abroad.

With one text, check your account balance and get the last five transactions on any of your accounts.  It couldn't be simpler.

To use the Danske Text Service you must register with us and ensure we have your correct mobile number.

Register for Danske Text Service

Option 1: If we already hold your phone number

If we already hold your existing mobile phone number all you have to do is text 'Register' to 50350. You will receive a text message confirming your registration request has been successful. Once this is received you can start using the Danske Text Service immediately.

Option 2: If we don’t hold your current phone number

If we don’t have your current mobile number you can update this in your eBanking before registering for the service. When you log into eBanking you can check and amend your phone number(s) in the 'Contact' section. Once you have updated your contact details text 'Register' to 50350. You will receive a text message confirming your registration request has been successful. Once this is received you can start using the Danske Text Service immediately.


Account Balance Service

Get Text Alerts

To help keep you up to date with your account balance we can send you a SMS to let you know when your balance goes above or below an amount you have set yourself.

This will help you know when a payment (such as your salary) is in your account, or when you are getting near a debit balance or an overdraft limit on your account.

There are five types of alerts available:

  1. Your balance is less than an amount set
  2. Your balance is greater than an amount set
  3. Your balance on a chosen day of the week or first day of every month
  4. When there is a debit of more than an amount set
  5. When there is a credit of more than an amount set

You can also receive these alerts by email.

To use the Account Balance Service and the Danske Text Service, you will need to register with us, making sure we have your current mobile phone number and/or email address - please contact us on the phone number(s) provided below:

We have taken some of your frequently asked questions and answered them below.

How do I register for the Danske Text Service?

To register for the service text Register to 50350.

Please ensure we hold your correct contact details before registering; you can update your contact details using eBanking.

How will I be charged for requesting SMS messages?

SMS messages are free of charge to all Danske Bank personal customers, however you should refer to your mobile phone service provider for any additional charges that could be made by them.

Will this service work on my mobile phone?

You will be able to receive SMS updates on any mobile handset capable of receiving text messages.

The service can only be used from UK registered mobile phones. We are unable to send SMS messages to a fixed phoneline or to an international mobile phone number.

Why did my request for transactions or balance fail to be replied to?

For security reasons we cannot reveal details of why this has occurred. You should contact us and we can explain the reason for this. This can be done by:

  • By contacting us on 0345 600 2882 (Local) or 0044 28 9004 9221 (if you are abroad)
  • By sending us a secure e-mail through your eBanking
What is the default account?

Where you have more than one account with us, you will choose which account you want to set as your main account for receiving quick text balance updates from Danske Text Service. You can change your main account at anytime and request balance updates on any of your accounts.

What happens if I change my mobile phone?

As long as you keep your old phone number, you will continue to be able receive your text updates.

However, if your mobile phone number changes then you will need to advise us of the new details. We will then activate the service for your new phone number.

What if I lose my mobile phone or it is stolen?

In addition to reporting the loss to your mobile network operator who will bar the phone and stop the handset from functioning, you should contact us immediately to advise that your phone has been lost or stolen. We can block the service from being used by your mobile number.

You can call us 24 hours a day on 0370 850 2481 (local) or 0044 2890 049 201 (if you are abroad).

Once you get a replacement phone, we can register you for the service again.

Will I be able to receive SMS updates if I am abroad?

Yes, you can access the service abroad.

I've deleted a message by mistake, could you send it to me again?

No, unfortunately we are only able to send the message once. If a message is deleted it cannot be viewed again. You will have to request the information by sending a second request to Danske Text Service.

Can I register for Danske Text Service if I am under 18 years old?

Yes, customers under 18 years old can apply for Danske Text Service, the easiest way to apply is through eBanking.

You can also apply by telephone or by visiting your local branch our advisors will need to ask some security questions.

If I have a joint account, can both joint account holders register for Danske Text Service?

Yes, both account holders need to register their own mobile phones separately to access the service.

I am party to an account but not the account owner, can I register for Danske Text Service?

Yes, you need to register your own mobile phone separately to access the service. Providing you have the right to access the account information you will be able to use the Danske Text Service.

Are the Terms and Conditions available in Braille, large print or on Audio?

Yes, you can request this by contacting us on 0345 600 2882 (Local) or 0044 28 9004 9221 (if you are abroad) or visiting your local branch.

How can I cancel Danske Text Service?

If you have registered for Danske Text Service and decide to cancel, you can do so at anytime by:

  • Texting the word 'Block' to Danske Text Service number: on 50350
  • By calling us on 0345 600 2882 (Local) or 0044 28 9004 9221 (if you are abroad)
  • By sending us a secure e-mail through your eBanking
Are there any restrictions to using the service with certain account types?

Limited functionality applies to the following types of accounts:

  • Custody Accounts
  • Foreign Currency accounts

The 'Account' option is not available for these accounts through Danske Text Service.
