Danske 3D Secure

Danske 3D Secure is provided by Danske Bank in association with Verified by Visa™, MasterCard Secure Code™ and MasterCard Identity Check™ to offer additional security when shopping online at participating merchants.

3D Secure adds an additional layer of security when shopping online at participating retailers through the requirement to enter a unique one-time passcode before purchases are transacted. With maximum security and minimal fuss, 3D Secure is convenient and free!

What is changing?

To enhance your online security and protect your online shopping transactions, Danske will provide a two factor authentication level of security (The two factors being the unique one-time passcode and delivery to your mobile phone).

You will no longer need to register your card or create a password to use 3D Secure. Instead we will automatically enrol all your debit and credit cards for 3D Secure and you will be required to enter a numeric, 6 digit one-time passcode, which will be sent to your mobile phone device, to complete your online purchases securely. You will be required to enter a one-time passcode every time you make a payment using your debit or credit card when shopping online at participating 3D Secure merchants.

What do I need to do?

You will need to register your mobile phone number with us otherwise we will not be able to send you the one-time passcode. Refer to FAQs below on how to do this. If you do not have a mobile device, or if you do not register your mobile phone number with us, then you will not be able to use your debit or credit card to shop online with participating merchants.
